What is a Home Information Pack (“HIP”)?

The Home Information Pack ("HIP") will contain a few new documents together with many of the documents that are currently used in the conveyancing process. The exact contents are currently being finalised.

When are HIP's being introduced?

From 1 June 2007 all home owners in England and Wales will need to arrange for a Home Information Pack to be prepared before placing their homes on the market for sale.
